About Me
My name is Laura Page, and I have dedicated the past 23 years of my career to supporting the learning and development of children and young people, by helping to reduce their barriers to learning and ensuring their social, emotional and academic needs are met so that they can thrive. With extensive experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and children facing complex behavioural and educational challenges, I am committed to gaining a deep understanding of all children's needs and to developing the best support plans to support their growth. I continuously strive to advocate for mental health awareness and its critical role in education.
My academic background in psychology and behavioural science and my interest in neuroscience, developmental and educational psychology, and my experience of trauma informed practice guides my approach, allowing me to apply evidence-based strategies tailored to each unique situation. I am passionate about fostering an inclusive environment where every child has the opportunity to reach their potential. I am keen to educate and support those around them to ensure we create safe environments and a supportive network of conscious connected practitioners, parents and carers. When a child feels safe in their environment it allows them to feel confident, promotes their resilience and facilitates the best opportunity for long term outcomes in relation to social, emotional and cognitive development.
I hold BSc and MSc degrees in Psychology, and post graduate training in Behaviour Analysis that includes Positive Behaviour Support and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy. I am fully insured, hold a current DBS and have up-to-date safeguarding training. I am registered with the UK Society of Behaviour Analysis (UKSBA), which is accredited by the Professional Standards Agency (PSA).
To be on the accredited register of the UKSBA and PSA, I must adhere to the UKSBA Code of Ethical and Professional Conduct, which you can read in full here. I have to meet the requirements of 16 hours of further training per 12 months membership term. My practice is accountable through the UKSBA regulations, and any complaints about my practice can be reported to them. Please refer to my complaints policy here.

My Approach
I use evidence based practice research from behaviour science, developmental and educational psychology, neuroscience and trauma informed practice to ensure my solutions safeguard mental health and well being and fully support the needs of our clients. I want to help children learn and flourish and I want children to have their educational, social and emotional needs met so they can lead happy fullfilled lives.
I use a behavioural analytic framework to guide my interventions, this includes using functional assessment to dive deeper into behaviour to assess what the child is trying to communicate, what needs are not being met and what alternative behaviours we can teach. This allows me to devise the most supportive, evidence based, compassionate, trauma informed support plans to ensure the child's needs are met and therefore feel safe, regulated and nurtured and are provided with the education and care they deserve.
I can also use the same methodology to support learning by implementing stategies that teach important skills to aid learning academic, social and emotional skills aswell as skills that promote independence and self help skills.
